As a partner at Napoli Shkolnik in New York City, Joseph Napoli represents clients in cases of environmental law, medical malpractice, personal injury, aviation accidents, and pharmaceutical litigation. Attorney Napoli Shkolnik won a reversal of a premises case in Newman V. Rockefeller Center at the New York State Court of Appeals. Outside of his work-related duties, he enjoys playing tennis.
To play a more efficient game of tennis, you should properly practice your serve. The first step is to position yourself as if you are in a normal serving stance. Once you are in position, place the racquet horizontally behind you, then let your racquet drop and bring it back up again. Once you repeat that motion a few times, turn your shoulders as you start to drop the racquet.
Avoid accelerating the racquet with your arm as it is still loose; your primary focus should be solely on your shoulder turn. The racquet will fly out itself from behind you.
Once you accomplish this, follow through again but lead with the racquet’s edge. Eventually, lead with the opposite edge and complete the follow-through.
